The bi-annual ISH show in Germany kicks off this week to showcase leading technology in buildings, from water-bearing systems to heat generation, HVAC, renewable energy and more. Midea Building Technologies (MBT) has a major presence at ISH 2025 under the theme “Green Vision Blue Future”, showcasing a full-range of low-carbon building solutions, including complete eco-friendly R290 heat pumps, one-stop smart energy management solution, and commercial HVAC solutions.

This suite of innovations along with project applications demonstrate MBT’s commitment to building a low-carbon transformation of European buildings.

Atop the innovations from Midea is its R290 series products. The R290 series features energy-saving technology that has already reduced emissions by 4.39 mil tons of CO₂ worldwide.

Among these solutions is the R290 Nature ATW Heat Pump. As one of Midea’s most advanced heat pump to date, Nature Heat Pump is designed specifically for the European market, meeting the EU’s highest ERP rating of A+++. Since R290 is a natural refrigerant, its GWP is only 3 and its ODP equals 0. Its powerful heating output provides 80°C leave water temperature which can satisfy all household demands. Another standout feature is its ultra-quiet compressor that registers at only 30 dB(A), less than the hum of a refrigerator. The Nature Series heat pump received the prestigious Quiet Mark certification on-site at ISH 2025, awarded by Quiet Mark’s founder and CEO, Poppy Szkiler, in recognition of its outstanding performance in noise reduction technology.

MBT’s iEasyEngery solution offers smart and flexible energy management of air-to-water heat pumps, energy storage and PV modules. iEasyEnergy is a complete system that provides one-stop service from design to installation for power consuming devices in the home that can make a home up to 90% energy self-sufficient.

MBT also announced a new generation V8 VRF with eco-friendly R32 refrigerant featuring an fully enclosed electrical box allowing for reliable performance under any conditions. The refrigerant system provides full cooling performance even at blistering hot 43°C. And an upgrade on system controls that feature Modbus protocols and a built-in power measurement algorithm and intelligent power consumption analysis keep the V8 VRF running at top-efficiency while improving its seamless connection to building management systems (BMS).

The MagBoost Apex Pro Magnetic Centrifugal Chiller delivers up to 30% higher efficiency and reliable cooling for commercial buildings through its oil-free operation technology. Its innovative modular design features a compact structure that allows vertical transportation via a 3-ton freight elevator. The system supports flexible expansion, with the ability to combine up to 16 units to meet different cooling capacity requirements. The compressor boasts an IP67 protection rating and uses eco-friendly R1234ze refrigerant. With an AHRI-COP of up to 6.19 and an AHRI-IPLV of up to 10.86, the MagBoost Apex Pro ensures long-term, stable, and cost-effective cooling performance.

Large scale projects in Europe are already showing how MBT products are improving energy efficiency. At the Kiani Beach Resort in Greece where temperatures can reach up to 45°C, MBT provided a customized HVAC solution that provides high-performance cooling, smart energy management, and long-term durability for a hospitality space of over 4,000㎡. The V8 VRF system and M thermal heat pumps provided year-round comfort while also reducing energy costs and emissions.
In Poland, MBT worked with local partners to provide HVAC solutions in schools, government buildings, shopping centers, and offices involving retrofitting old buildings and installations in new constructions. The versatility of MBT products across this diverse range of buildings gained widespread recognition for their high energy efficiency, reliability, quiet volumes, and intelligent controls and system management.
MBT remains dedicated to enhancing comfort for their customers while advancing industry sustainability, contributing to a greener and smarter future for Europe. Stay tuned for the Next ISH!
